Corporate America Got Wage Slaves Back on the Plantation
Without Workers Even Realizing it!

We are gathered here today to pay our last respects to the alleged American Dream, the ideal that every U.S. citizen should have an equal opportunity to pursue their vision of success and prosperity; a prosperity that allows you to feed your loved ones off the fruit of one’s proud labor.
The American Dream will be laid to rest in the “Valley of Hopes and Dreams” - next to the house, car, 2.5 kids, and white picket fences of our fanciful childhood imagination.
The American Dream will be buried behind the other favorite fictional fantasies of our youth, most notably the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, and the Easter Bunny.
Please remember to sign your life’s data away in the Amazon Register Book at the door before you leave, so you can be titillated by the latest consumerist offering to bring your empty soul some momentary joy - and to forget that you are no closer to being an astronaut, CEO, or the next Beyonce - than you were in Kindergarten.
The fat lady will close the service with “Amazing Grace”, as a reminder that you will need divine help to achieve your quickly fading dreams in a rigged job market.
Refreshments are compliments of WingStop and Crown Royal, so you can drown your dashed dreams with fat, grease, and liquor. The repast meal will be served at 4:20, so blaze before you eat, to make the most of your munchies!

1. The American Worker Needs Giant REALITY CHECK
Americans are weaned on the mantra that “hard work, determination, and initiative” are all that’s needed to attain one’s dreams in our land of milk and honey. Since the 1990s, Americans have been weaned on a steady, syrupy stream of lies that feed their egos into a mass delusion about how autonomously they can propel themselves up the corporate career ladder. Widespread self-help platitudes of “You can have it all” and “Just pull yourself up by your bootstraps” - are no truer than the decaying fantasy of the American Dream.
The Success of Some, Does Not Invalidate the Glass Ceiling for the Many
Don’t get me wrong. While far from perfect, America does offer its workers and job seekers many freedoms, opportunities, and a slate of worker’s rights protections that are not enjoyed in most of the world.
There are millions of current American success stories, where people right here in the “good ol’ U.S”, are happily living their career dreams by being fortunate enough to have the resources to cultivate a prized skill, possess deep family connections, a robust Ivy League social network of shot callers, or through sheer lucky providence.
I am humbled, encouraged, and grateful for that fact, but that does not mean we should ignore the myriad of injustices endured by the rank-and-file wage slave (read: YOU) - who is just “trying to make a dollar out of 15 cents”, as 2Pac famously once rapped.
That said, this business blog is for the HUNDREDS of millions of Americans who are concussed from banging their head on the corporate glass ceiling that has frozen their career progression to a standstill, eroded worker rights, stagnated wages, destroyed private unions, curtailed opportunities, and oppressed the average job seeker through an unfair job selection processes.
We can do better, but the average American doesn’t have a clue that the obstacles of present-day job-seeking are far worse and more pervasive than they realize.
Job Spy
I decided I am the wake-up call from inside the corrupt “Employment Industrial Matrix”. I have been in the talent acquisition business for nearly 20 years from industries ranging from niches like entertainment and big government to a cacophony of professions within the modern private sector.
I know how the secret Big Mac sauce is made - and I will be sharing my hacks, insights, strategies, and vision - to educate today’s job seekers on how to best navigate the complex job market.
My Competitive Advantage
There are tons of recruiter blogs out there that merely perpetuate the same old tripe that was preached when Bill Clinton was president and the Spice Girls topped the charts. Oh, and these bloggers push advice that crystallizes the current hegemony that upholds Corporate America’s decided advantage over job seekers and keeps them in their lot as stuck wage slaves.
Other recruiting bloggers clearly have not looked for a job in the last 10 years, because if they did, they would have realized their advice is as useful as a limp penis on your wedding night.
If I read one more unrealistic blog about “how informational interviews” or “finding a mentor” will help you land your next corporate dream job, I am going to gag on my Taco Bell Doritos Locos Tacos!
Equally, as important, I am not going to kiss-ass to my readers to maintain my subscriber base at the expense of honest advice - that I believe will help them achieve their professional dreams in the long run.
Job seekers often contribute to the problems in the “Employment Industrial Matrix” by spurning good recruiters with unprofessional behaviors, such as ingratitude, entitlement, and ghosting. For the game to truly change, nobody is above reproach - and cocky, flaky, and unprepared job seekers contribute to the morass as well.
I’m Not an Infalliable Oracle
While I will defend my positions with vigor and passion, it will always be in good faith. If I am proven wrong with facts, statistics, or empirical data, I will admit it, learn from it, and evolve my strategies to best elevate us “Wage Slaves” off the “Employment Plantation”.
My ego is irrelevant in terms of promoting precise, resourceful, and realistic strategies and critiques to level the playing field for the American Worker vs. Corporate America. It’s about pushing what works, no matter who comes up with the latest and greatest idea.
I love vibrant dialogue, debate, and discussion, so this blog is a safe space for new or outlandish ideas. I want this blog to be a symbiotic relationship where I illuminate you to labor hostile practices, shameless recruiting tactics, and the utter hypocrisies of the “Employment Industrial Matrix”.
In turn, you will teach me things I am unaware of. Then, we can learn and progress together to advance our collective lots in life. Let’s unite and use the wisdom of the crowd to sincerely live the life we once imagined - and abandon the regret and rumination of “what could have been”!
I Have a Detailed Vision To Change the Rigged Game
Other blogs give “patch-and-go” advice, but I refuse to put a band-aid on a gunshot wound. Before Corporate America, the federal government, and the global elite eventually conspire to close the digital public square, we must collectively seize the moment to make real change. My goal is to be Paul Revere for today’s wage slaves against employer overlords.
What’s the Blueprint for Real Change?
I will alert the slumbering masses as to how the “Employment Industrial Complex” is rigged against them, dispel false narratives that permeate the job search ecosystem, invite debate amongst industry thought leaders to bring job seeker exploitation to the forefront, and formulate strategies to reclaim our sovereignty.
We must mobilize against Employer Overlords by shaming their hypocrisies and holding them accountable in the digital public square - for all their virtual stakeholders to see - as to how they mistreat job seekers.
We have to organize cogent legal efforts to propose federal or state laws to reclaim our professional sovereignty by enshrining such protections for future generations against an increasingly powerful Corporate America; which would like nothing better than to preserve the status quo of “you better get in where you fit in” and “don’t rock the boat”.
2. HELP WANTED - Recruiting Revolution
This is the ground zero for the genesis of a new golden age for American Workers, which is long overdue. Finally, through the power of technology, the forgotten American Worker can be re-educated into sloughing off the shackles of “prevailing wisdom” that oppresses job seekers into being fungible living widgets for Corporate America; while learning to eliminate their self-sabotaging behaviors and mindsets that thwart their pursuit of new opportunities. Moreover, if American Workers can organize in mass, we can powerfully advocate for brighter professional futures as a one-body politic. Get Involved for Real Systemic Change If a real “Recruiting Revolution” is to be successful, it will have to be a group effort that requires dedicated, organized participation from the masses to shock the system into changing against its own will. We need to harken back to the halcyon days of the successful worker’s rights protests Cesar Chavez and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. helmed in the days of yesteryear. Yes, please take 10 minutes from your Pornhub playtime to post an anonymous review directly on employers’ social media pages if they promote unfair selection practices, sign an online petition, attend a live workers’ rights protest, join a local private union, or simply share my blog with your friends and family who are still happily blue-pilled in the “Employment Industrial Matrix”.
3. What is the Goal of the REALITY CHECK 100 Blog?
This is a weekly blog and community forum for brutally honest, edgy, and visionary conversation about spreading awareness of the rigged job market, changing employment search mores, advancing new workers’ rights, and discussing business trends.
Open, honest, and constructive critiques for engaging are welcome, but childish ad hominem attacks prove you have no substantive facts, analysis, or cohesive arguments to back up your stances. Troll not unfairly, lest ye shall be trolled!
My goal is to launch a “Recruiting Revolution” with the following strategies:
* Establish a “Job Seekers Bill of Rights” for the 21st Century.
* Create “Call Out Campaigns” to Corporate America on their unfair selection and employment practices when necessary.
* Compose “Proletariat Petitions” to lawmakers to keep crony capitalism and cyber buffers from eroding workers’ and job seekers’ rights further.
* Promote the revival of the private union and civic workplace activism.
* Change and challenge the current wage slave mindset that has American Workers disillusioned through the dissemination of this blog.
I intend to furnish a new post biweekly, with free posts dropping for as long as Jesus Blesses my health and vitality to do so.
Eventually, I will offer affordable consultation services and digital tools for purchase to help you arm your “Job Hunters Warchest” so you can reach your career goals.
Join me at REALITY CHECK 100, where I will always “keep it 100” with you!I will give you a new take on the job-hunting game as IT IS - and how it SHOULD BE - not how it USED to be…or NEVER was!!!
